Nora Germain is an American jazz violinist, composer, and producer born in 1991 in Madison, Wisconsin. She has released ten jazz albums between 2012 and 2023, building a catalog that showcases her skills as both performer and arranger. Her album Little Dipper reached number fourteen on the iTunes Jazz Chart, and her collaborative live recording Nora Germain and Friends highlights her work as a bandleader. Under the alter ego Lemon Lord Project, she has also composed and co-produced pop music, including the album Be Blonde and five singles released between 2018 and 2022. Germain studied under bassist Marshall Hawkins, a former sideman to Miles Davis and Shirley Horn, and recorded a duet with Jon Batiste at Juilliard at age seventeen. She has contributed string sections to recordings by JMSN and Postmodern Jukebox, and has performed at events alongside Katy Perry, accumulating credits on over one hundred fifty recordings. Her original compositions for AllSolos include Happy Jazz, a blues, and Always Your Friend, an AABA form tune. Germain's work as a writer reflects a versatile musical voice that moves comfortably between jazz tradition and contemporary pop production.
