Musa Kaleem, born Orlando Wright on January 3, 1921, in Wheeling, West Virginia, was an American jazz saxophonist and flautist active from the late 1930s through the 1960s. He worked alongside some of the most prominent figures in jazz, including Erroll Garner, Mary Lou Williams, Art Blakey, Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Jimmie Lunceford, James Moody, Coleman Hawkins, Tiny Grimes, Eddie Jefferson, and Dizzy Reece. His recording credits include albums such as Blues Groove with Tiny Grimes and Coleman Hawkins, The Jazz Singer with Eddie Jefferson, and Comin' On! with Dizzy Reece. On AllSolos, Sanctimonious Sam is attributed to Kaleem. He died on March 26, 1988, in Los Angeles, California.
