Morty Nevins, Al Nevins, and Artie Dunn, performing as The Three Suns, composed the music for "Twilight Time" in 1944, with lyrics later added by Buck Ram. The Nevins brothers on accordion and guitar, along with Dunn on electronic organ and vocals, scored their first hit with this instrumental recording. The song became a pop standard, most famously covered by The Platters in 1958.
