Ray Manzarek's organ solo is the second of two improvisations on this recording, following Krieger's guitar solo. His extended organ statement enters at approximately 2:53 and spans nearly a minute over the A-major tonality at 118 BPM, making it one of the more substantial keyboard improvisations on the album. Manzarek's organ work here draws on the droning, hypnotic quality that was central to The Doors' sound, his lines building and receding in waves that complement the song's expansive, almost psychedelic atmosphere.
