Taking four choruses of the 24-bar ABA form in G minor at 126 BPM, Drew brings a different energy to the Latin groove, his bebop-rooted piano work navigating the form with harmonic sophistication and rhythmic precision. As Gordon's regular pianist during this European exile period, Drew demonstrates the deep musical rapport that made them such an effective pairing on the Copenhagen club scene.
