Taking a brief partial chorus of the 32-bar ABAC form in E-flat at 58 BPM, Hakim offers a contemplative piano statement over the "Embraceable You" chord changes. His abbreviated solo serves as a closing statement after Parker's more extended exploration, the piano's harmonic coloring adding a final layer to this intimate ballad performance.
