Joshua Richman is a jazz pianist and composer. He leads the Joshua Richman Trio and has also performed with many distinguished artists including Wynton Marsalis, Terell Stafford and Chris Potter. Richman regularly performs in New York City, Philadelphia, and other cities in the tri-state area, and is currently a faculty member at Temple University.

Trivia

Joshua Richman has twice won the ASCAP Foundation Young Jazz Composer Award. He was the pianist for Anthony Rapp for the “Sondheim on Sondheim-In Words and Music” event at William Paterson University in 2008. Richman released an album titled Acceptance in 2008.

Early Life

Joshua Richman grew up in Pennsylvania. He earned a BA in Music from William Paterson University in 2008. He went on to attend The Julliard School where he studied jazz piano performance and completed a masters degree. He performed both nationally and internationally as a member of the Juilliard Jazz Ensemble.
