Secret Safe is an original jazz vocal composition by Canadian singer and songwriter Caity Gyorgy, written in the style of the Great American Songbook with bebop and swing influences. The tune first appeared on her 2021 EP Now Pronouncing: Caity Gyorgy, released on the La Reserve label, where it is performed with a big band arrangement that allows for improvisational trading between the vocalist and ensemble. The composition blends modern lyrics with classic harmonic sophistication, its swinging character and confident melodic phrasing evoking mid-twentieth-century jazz standards while remaining distinctly contemporary. Secret Safe won the Grand Prize in the Jazz category of the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, bringing early recognition to Gyorgy's abilities as both a performer and composer. It fits within a body of work that includes her debut album No Bounds and the full-length Featuring from 2022, all of which draw heavily on her own original material. Though a relatively recent composition, Secret Safe has been performed by other vocalists internationally, suggesting growing influence within the jazz vocal community even as it has not yet achieved widespread standard status. On AllSolos, the tune is represented through the original recording from Now Pronouncing, with solos from Gyorgy on voice, Daniel Barta on alto saxophone, Jacob Wutzke on drums, and Felix Fox-Pappas on piano.
