Norah Jones and Jesse Harris co-wrote "The Long Day Is Over" for Jones's 2002 debut album Come Away with Me. Harris, a guitarist and songwriter, played guitar throughout the entire album and wrote or co-wrote six of its songs, including the Grammy-winning "Don't Know Why." The collaboration represents one of several songwriting partnerships on an album that blended jazz, folk, and pop influences.
