About
Opening the solo section, this tenor sax improvisation spans two choruses of the 32-bar ABAC form at a medium latin feel at 121 BPM. Webb takes two choruses on tenor saxophone over the 32-bar ABAC form in E-flat at 121 BPM, his warm tone and fluid phrasing adapting naturally to the Latin groove. The 32-bar ABAC form, with its non-repeating final section, offers harmonic variety and a sense of forward motion through the changes. Following this solo, Alan Broadbent takes over on piano.
Doug Webb was 53 to 54 years old at the time.
