Closing out the solo section, this drums improvisation spans one chorus of the 32-bar AABA form at an uptempo 224 BPM. The underlying chord progression is drawn from "I Got Rhythm," making this a contrafact -- a new melody composed over borrowed changes. Otto and Jedynak contribute bass and drum solos respectively on several tunes. Jedynak's drum solo draws on the jazz tradition of melodic percussion, using the full kit to create dynamic contrast and maintain the energy of the performance. Coming after Rick Otto's acoustic bass solo, this is the final improvisation before the ensemble returns to the head.
