Izaak Weatherwax's one-chorus drum solo closes the improvisation section as the third and final solo on this original blues. At approximately 140 BPM over the 12-bar form in B-flat, Weatherwax maintains the track's infectious groove while adding percussive variety. Following solos by bassist Sam Rocha and violinist Nora Germain, the drum feature completes the trio's round of solos, giving every member a moment in the spotlight. The single chorus keeps the drum solo proportionate to the track's relaxed, feel-good character.
