Sarah Slonim is a jazz pianist who was active in the New York City jazz scene from 2011 to 2019. She led several groups, including a trio and a group known as The Sarah Slonim Project. In 2017, she had a weekly residency at Smalls Jazz Club. Slonim also performed frequently as a sideman. In April 2017, as a member of the SIJ Trio, she won the International Women in Jazz Competition. Slonim is also a dedicated educator and taught workshops and clinics around the United State as well as teaching private lessons. She returned to the Seattle area in 2019.

Early Life

Sarah Slonim was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She attended Michigan State University and graduated in 2011 with a double major in Jazz Studies and Comparative Cultures and Politics. After graduating she moved to New York City to pursue a career in music.
