About
Dave Robaire's acoustic bass solo is the second solo on this performance, following Bob Sheppard on tenor sax. Spanning two choruses of the 32-bar ABAB' form in C at a moderate 137 BPM with a swing feel, Robaire contributes bass solos on five of the seven pieces, and Euman takes drum features on the de Paul and Evans tunes. "Weaver of Dreams" is a contrafact built on the chord changes of "There Will Never Be Another You," requiring the soloist to navigate a familiar harmonic framework with a different melodic identity.
Dave Robaire was 33 to 34 years old at the time.
